No. Once we submit your paper work to the Regional DAV Office, the VA will contact only you and the DAV Regional Office. We would be more than happy to review with you any paper work sent to you by the VA. If needed we will help you set up an appointment to talk a DAV National Service Officer.

We strongly encourage you to try and work with a local DAV Chapter in your area! If you can not find anybody in your area, please contact the Department of Texas DAV at Tel: 936-637-3281

Good question. Currently this site is under construction. You will notice at times something that doesn't say DAV. It may have another service organization name. We are working daily with the company that keeps up this site and we correct or make those changes as we find them.

We do. Our links on that site are second to none. Of course this is my opinion as webmaster, and I have looked at other chapters to see what I could copy. The DAV National site for the chapters does not provide us email addresses for the chapters, texts, or mass emails. By doing this, if someone quits, or is removed from their position, all correspondence will be passed on to the new officer. This site and company does this and so much more.

Our chapter has limited funding. But when funds are available, we do offer a max amount of $250 dollars for a two year period. Once the max is reached it will be two years until we can offer financial help again. We will also help you reach out to other government agencies for aid.

The chapter would like to offer an apology for any of our shortcomings. The chapter would like to be the first ones to respond to any complaint. You can either call 254-781-2031, or use the contact features on this website to reach out to one of the chapter officers. The next step would be to contact DAV Department of Texas at 936-637-3281. We would like to address any issue first, but we understand this is not always the case.

Go to the tab labeled  "Resources", Open Tab. Then Go down to "Tools to Help with VA Claims" and Open Tab. You can also open the tab, "Prior Service-Connected Medical Conditions."  You will find links that tie right into the VA and hyperlinks to help you.

Protecting our Benefits Begins With You

Please join DAV’s dedicated grassroots supporters and help protect veterans’ benefits! Your involvement will increase our effectiveness in advocating for ill and injured veterans, their families, and survivors – and will unify and solidify DAV’s message across the nation.

We need your help in communicating DAV’s legislative priorities to Congress, the media and the general public. Given the volatility of the current political environment – it is an important time to strengthen advocacy efforts so the much talked about reform of VA’s health care system is done in the best interest of veterans, existing benefits are protected, and future benefits are developed in line with what matters to those who have served.

Our success in pushing for and seeing legislative changes in Washington remains dependent on the continued strength of our nationwide grassroots movement.

Now is the time to become proactive, and now is the time to prepare – before others decide it is a good idea to dismantle the VA or take away hard-earned benefits and services from those who have served and sacrificed for this country.  We are all responsible to help ensure that our government does not go back on its promises to our nation’s veterans and their families.

Remember, protecting our benefits begins with you.
