Our chapter is named after William Richard (Dubb) Hold, who was born in Killeen, Texas on Janauary 22, 1923. The son of Mr. Charles F and Mrs. Tida Wright Hold. He attended school in Killeen and enlisted in the U.S.Army Air Corps (Now known as the U.S.Air Force) on October 6, 1942 to answer his country's call for freedom. He progresswd to Technician Fifth Grade and died on February 5, 1945, while on active duty in the China-Burma-India (CBI) Theater of Operations. He is buried in the Killeen City Cemetery on Rancier Avenue.
